The Traveling Troubadours of Inspiration Perform for Residents

On quiet Sunday afternoons residents of Isabella eagerly await the Traveling Troubadours of Inspiration. What began as a staff member singing for her mother, has now transformed into a group of six musicians travelling to all floors performing for the residents.

Ana Del Villar, who works in the Admissions department, has been a longstanding member of the St. Elizabeth’s choir and began this initiative. He group goes on all nursing home floors to sing, dance, and perform karaoke with the residents. They perform songs from different cultures and languages to accommodate the diverse background of our residents. Upon their arrival, residents can be seen laughing and crying with joy.

The purpose of this generous and voluntary work by the performers is to bring happiness to the residents and to enhance their quality of life.
