On Saturday, June 11, 2016, the
Relatives Council of Isabella honored Michael Robinson for his extraordinary
work in caring for our residents by presenting him with the Relatives and
Friends Council “Employee Choice Award 2016”.
Since he began work at Isabella in
Environmental Services 17 years ago, Michael
has been exceptional in the way he has brought joy to residents while doing his
own work on each neighborhood
Affectionately known as the “Lollipop Man”, Michael can be found
interacting with the residents in the dining room, encouraging them to interact
and offering a sweet lollipop just to bring a smile to each face.
Michael became an “Ambassador” in our
Home Again Program several years ago. On
his own time he has led the Men’s Group – where residents get a chance to
exercise, tell stories and discuss the issues of the day. An energetic dancer, Michael has even
introduced the latest moves to gentlemen who appreciate being brought
up-to-date on the latest steps.
Michael has been a source of joy
wherever he goes in Isabella and residents and staff appreciate his bright
smile and generous ways. His Award by
the Relatives Council is well deserved.
The Isabella Relatives and Friends
Council meets on a monthly basis at Isabella to discuss issues affecting their loved ones and to
learn about the latest developments within Isabella.
